Troubleshooting

Diagnose the problem before changing everything.

When a game stops working, random fixes create more confusion. Identify when the problem happens, make one change and test again.

Identify the stage of failure

Ask when the problem appears. Does the game fail to install, refuse to start, freeze while loading, close during gameplay, or behave differently after an update? Each stage points toward different causes.

Installation problems

Check the file source, available storage, device compatibility and whether an older conflicting installation is present. Avoid repeatedly installing different versions without first identifying what failed.

Startup crashes

Restart the device and test again. Close unnecessary background applications. If the issue began after an update or configuration change, record that detail before making further changes.

Freezing or loading problems

Restart, close unnecessary apps and verify that enough storage is available. If only one area causes the issue, note that instead of treating the whole game as broken.

Problems after an update

Compare what worked before the update with what changed afterward. Version-specific issues are easier to investigate when you record the exact game version and device.

Keep a record: device → game version → exact symptom → when it happens → last change → result of each test.

Use this order

  1. Restart the game and device.
  2. Check storage and basic requirements.
  3. Identify the exact failure stage.
  4. Undo the most recent relevant change if possible.
  5. Test one fix at a time.
  6. Record the result before trying another fix.
